Rare image of the denizens of No 10 and Westminster!
Oh dearie me – oh my aching sides! This morning’s ‘news’ dished out by our MSM, or rather: the ‘cream of Westminster journalists’ writing for the broadsheets, are hilarious, and they didn’t even notice. They and their ‘sources’ are spinning so fast that it’s difficult to discern their message for today. It must be difficult having to think for oneself when one’s been relying on titbits from “sources in No 10’’ when those ‘sources’ have suddenly dried up.
These ‘sources’ are people with whom one might have had relationships, from being invited to parties which didn’t take place to marriage. Yes, marriage: The Times’ opinion piece writer James Forsyth had to declare in his opinion piece this morning (link, paywalled) that he’s the husband of Ms Allegra Stratton, the lady who a year ago became Johnson’s PR honcho, being a FoC (friend of Carrie), and who resigned tearfully because of ‘that’ video. I understand that this was common knowledge within the Westminster Swamp.
I’m not saying that Ms Stratton was the culprit for all those leaks – I am however saying that there’s been an unsavoury connection between Carrie’s Courtiers and Westminster ‘journalists’. I wonder in passing if the main ‘source in No 10’ might not have been the queen of that court. She is known to prefer ‘WhatsApp’ messaging to communicate her will.
While I’m congratulating the proud dad in No 10 on having produced yet another sprog, I wonder if the current political disaster, created by the ‘no party’ Christmas Party leaks and the ‘dead cat’ Plan B announcement, weren’t caused by Mrs J being out of No 10 and in hospital giving birth. Am I too cynical when I suggest that the PM might be controlled by his wifey? And is perhaps Mr Fraser Nelson’s comment piece in the DT last night (paywalled link) a sign that the Carrie Courtiers and their gossip receivers are desperately trying to deflect public opinion away from her machinations?
The headline of Mr Nelson’s article was another item that had me in stitches: “This fractious Cabinet doesn’t want to topple Boris. It wants to control him – Resignations may come, but for now ministers are drawing red lines around the PM’s court of chaos” (paywalled link) – a ‘fractious cabinet’? That bunch of nonentities? Wanting to ‘control’ Johnson? I’m laughing so hard that my sides ache!
Mr Nelson – who ought to know better – interestingly seems to believe that the cabinet ministers have Johnson’s fate in their hands. Sorry, it’s the MPs who do. Apparently the appropriate ‘no confidence’ letters are already flooding into the inbox of the 1922 Committee. 64 are needed. Well, we’ve been there before, haven’t we, when the previous PM survived such vote. Why would it be different this time? Meanwhile our wonderful MPs are concentrating on trying to get a sufficient number of colleagues to vote against Plan B on Tuesday. First things first, innit!
Perhaps they’re correct to wait because, should there be a sufficient number of Tory ‘rebels’, Johnson would have to rely on Starmer’s lot to get his Plan B through the HoC. That would be a lovely little scandal, especially as Starmer has helpfully told the Tories to get rid of Johnson.
A few sentences in Mr Nelson’s article are staggering, demonstrating what happens when ‘sources’ using ‘WhatsApp’ to give guidance have suddenly dropped out so that MSM writers suddenly don’t know how best to spin. For example: “The rule-by-terror under Dominic Cummings has turned into a Boris Johnson court of chaos which is, if anything, worse.” (paywalled link). Tough: Carrie and therefore you Westminster lot wanted Cumming out, so live with it!
There’s also this: “The Prime Minister’s bizarre decision to hold an inquiry into whether his own staff held a party under his own roof underlines the sense of no one being in charge.” (paywalled link) – well, of course nobody was ‘in charge’! Carrie was away giving birth, something which does tend to occupy a lady’s mind and might keep her from whatsapping.
In the following paragraphs Mr Nelson desperately tries to explain away the chaos of all that is Plan B. He hasn’t realised that Plan B was always meant to happen, not least because Carrie, probably, wanted ‘zero covid’ as much as she wants ‘Net Zero’.
This is how we’re governed: spin, deflection, chaos – the ultimate result when unelected personages, usually providing ‘guidance’ and spin, suddenly drop out of circulation. The latest ‘spun news’ is that there’s no leader running day-to-day business when Daddy Johnson is taking ‘paternity leave’ with Mummy Carrie.
Mr Raab, the Vice-PM, is self isolating because he’s tested +ive after having been in contact with his Australian counterpart. Why an Ozzie should have covid given their covid measures is anybody’s guess. Next in line would be Mr Sunak … but fear not, Johnson will still ‘lead’.
I assume that ‘ The Johnsons’ will try to work out a suitable way of extricating themselves from the steaming ruin that is Johnson’s Premiership. Meanwhile it’s becoming more probable that Johnson will indeed go. “Sources” have told the DT that:
“On Thursday night, reports emerged claiming that rival leadership contenders to Mr Johnson were on manoeuvres. MPs claimed that backers of Rishi Sunak, the Chancellor, and Liz Truss, the Foreign Secretary, were attempting to bolster support for potential future candidacies.” (paywalled link)
It’s interesting to look at the names missing here. Is Mr Gove not going to ‘try again’? What about a certain Mr Hunt? Has Mr Javid realized that, with the covid and NHS albatross around his neck, his chances might not be as brilliant anymore? But naming Ms Truss – hm, now there’s someone to keep an eye on! She’s topped the approval polls run in ConHome ever since the last GE. Her successes as Trade Minister speak for themselves. So far, she’s also kept or has been kept well out of the FO Afghan scandal.
If it comes to a leadership election I suggest she has great chances, not least because she seems to be well liked and well supported by her mandarins – and that is a behind-the-scenes support which should not be underestimated.
I leave you with two other hilarious news snippets. One is that ‘academics’ are calling for a law to ‘ban face mask littering’ because all those discarded masks were ”accelerating the spread of Covid-19 and resulting in plastic pollution that could last hundreds of years.” (link, paywalled). Oh dear! Where are all those green activists? Can’t they organise mask-litter-picking parties, clad in full hazmat suits?
The top prize in today’s ‘hilarity news’ contest goes to that wannabe Napoleon across the Channel. He actually blamed – – – Mrs Thatcher! ‘Tis because she created the economic conditions making illegals want to come to the UK (link, paywalled). Well I nevah!
Forgive me, I cannot continue – I must hold my aching sides. Never have I seen so many hilarious Westminster news items in one morning. And the funniest thing is that clearly, with no Carrie disseminating ‘leaks’, our Westminster ‘journalists’ are rudderless.
I love the graphic , the clown faces. Johnson has been called a Bag of Custard (a good description I think) so he can provide one big the Custard Pie when he goes pop !
I know it won’t solve the problem but all MP’s should be recalled in person to discuss the ongoing chaos and then someone should light the touch paper (metaphorically speaking)!!! It would certainly make me feel better.
Out of all the people in this country who will stay at home come what may are our useless inhabitants of the House of Commons. They will continue to be paid their monthly salaries and generous allowances without so much as lifting a finger. And the top man himself namely Boris Johnson (a legend in his own mind) will be setting an example by taking two weeks paternity leave or as one online national newspaper mistakenly called it maternity leave prior to the Christmas break. Nice work for some if you can get it. We are led by an absolute shower of shyte….
The solution to the great fight of preserving our freedoms and civil liberties in this country is Farage. He is the only politician who has the calibre, ability, charisma and tenacity to unite those on the left and right into a broad front against the tyrannical authoritarian dictatorship which looms large on the horizon.
Oops, And become one…?…………..I admire him but, why ask for trouble. However i do believe that politicians should be post career not pre career or use it as a career. And therefore have nothing at all to offer but their own useless selves.
Actually I admire the present system in almost all respects
It is ( or should be ) perfect. But There is a problem, People are Cunning, devious, crooked, lying, unfaithful,.jealous, criminal, ambitious, murderous, thieving, convincing, . And that’s just PM’s and MP’s.. God knows what Civil Servants, Wives and Kids get up to.
So my old solution was to have a sort of Political Police. But what they could get up to beggars belief ( Like our wonderful Regulators )
So my present favourite is to employ an ancient Grannies saying or maybe a combinition of two or three..
Actually, A seperate House full of Ex Thieves , liars, semi criminals, etc, BUT successful. and made it. Are ( or should be ) a perfect answer
And of course seperately responsible to the queen.( DIVIDED CANNOT RULE. )…..Simple ,and obvious so a perfect target for the Jealous of all types.
But Ah Well. This thisis what they want . So LET’S REFORM THE HoL Let’s agree it certainly needs something.” Reform the HoL”
It’s like a wonderfull piece of postwar machinery or clockwork. Clean it up in the Repair shop and it’ll keep running properly and without tinkering by the ignorant, It’ll run forever and produce the right time …And we do not need anyone to ” improve ” it.. There is nothing in there that an ordinary copper can’t clean up.
Yes but…..will he? Last I heard, he had said he was done with front line politics!
I would agree with you Colin if Farage had not got such a bad reputation for letting people down. He would have to say and do a lot more to gain the trust of the people who worked so hard in the grassroots to achieve Brexit (of sorts).
He would regain my trust in one fell swoop if he simply came on air immediately and revealed the whole truth about jab injuries, what the “health” scam was really about, the fraud upon which emergency authorisation was obtained, etc etc. That’s all he needs to do. Up till now I believe he has been part of the conspiracy of silence or half truths. It’s too late now to get a new party off the ground; the only way forward is to wake up far more people now before its too late then let public disobedience do the rest.
We will have to wait and see on that score. I think Farage will return to frontline politics, but in what form I know not. However I believe that he will strive to form a loose alliance of parties within the right of centre ground, given what he has said quite recently The problem will be as to who will lead it. Personally for me its a no brainer and has to be Nigel Farage, as he alone has got the charisma, ability, experience and political clout to lead such a venture, whereas the other party leaders are politically naive which the public at large will not get behind, with the possible exception of perhaps Neil Hamilton. Interestingly, I note that the Reclaim Party candidate in the North Shropshire by election this week is Martin Daubney. He was a Brexit Party MEP in the European Parliament until 31st January 2021. Perhaps he thinks that Reform UK doesn’t quite cut the mustard either and went off instead to a rival party.
I believe the dark destiny of the World was set out after WWII. The remnants of those whose wish has always been to rule the World went underground and regrouped. It has taken decades of careful brainwashing to lull the peasants into a false sense of security. Years of consumerism (bread) coupled with circuses (soul destroying TV soaps and inane game shows) have done their work well!
Now most of the population has lost the ability to think for themselves. Thus they are now fully on board with the message of fear that is ruling their lives and preparing them for personal and economic slavery.
The tragi-comic side show that is our Parliament is simply a miasma behind which hides the actual chimera!
Hi Frederica glad to see you back, hope you are OK
If a miasma is what rises from an overheated cess pit, then I agree with you
As for this lying nonsense that’s being used as a cover for all sorts of really heinous mayhem, I despair that we are showing any surprise or taking any notice,
All the present parliamentarians and a host of other “elite” are tutored or nurtured by and in the image of the EU for over the last 40 years .
J C Juncker was honest or brazen enough to confirm that lying was OK and it was normal for everybody in the know ‘ to read between the lies’
I believe that some ebullient faiths are no better and one has a practice of tackia (?spelling)
As for Moral turpitude, reminds me of kettles and teapots. They are all immoral if the took the £10,000 Covid expenses bribe
Indeed Frederica; I’m sure that this has been planned for long time.
Frederica, at 2.27pm Dec 10, I agree wholeheartedly with you.
Thinking about it now and looking back on my life, I always did want to ‘think for myself’.
T.P.T.B. from top to bottom have always prevented me from carrying those thoughts forward into actions. Actions of a free person that is, not a slave.
There are memes galore, mocking and pointing out truths, but two pretty much nail it for me:
“The Government has a dilemma. It needs to convince the unjabbed that the jabs work, so they should get their first two doses, whilst trying to convince the obediently jabbed that they don’t work so they should get their boosters.”
“If we all just accept a medical surveillance state we can get back to normal.”
And on the ‘extremely rare’ side effects:
anyone who highlights the alarming number of supremely fit and regularly monitored footballers and other athletes collapsing suddenly with heart problems is called a conspiracy theorist – this is quite normal we are assured by ‘fact checkers’;
and thousands of people are facing heart-related illnesses due, we are told pre-emptively, to that well known malady post-pandemic stress disorder (PPSD);
and now the airline pilots association magazine (alpa) points out that one pilot died in 2019, six in 2020, and 111 in the first nine months of 2021! More professionals very fit and regularly monitored for obvious safety reasons. But nothing to see here, all just coincidence.
Jeff Taylor also has a few words to say on our current political situation and it’s quite dark and sobering. We’re stumbling into Totalitarianism and we haven’t much time to stop it.
“Our last hope!”
Jeff Taylor

Thank you for that flyer. I agree but our greatest obstacle is the unknowing / unseeing.
Jeff Taylor is absolutely right and I would support and contribute to this if it got off the ground.
See the comment I made in Thursday Betrayal regarding this “public discussion” I believe it should be a proper referendum
Agreed Roger Turner. I signed the petition. If you can, give everybody on here the link, again. Personally, I don’t think I could find it now.
Sorry I just can’t share Jeff Taylor’s faith in Farage or trust him. Wasn’t Farage on You Tube earlier this year urging people to get the jab? I wonder how many people who are now vaccine- injured were swayed by him.
I’m going to get lynched for saying this, but what if he was now covertly working for our globalist enemy while pretending to be on our side? He is still widely trusted so would be a very effective Pied Piper.
When we won the Brexit vote, we disturbed a very dangerous nest of hornets. The evil globalists working covertly in the shadows were forced out into the open and had to accelerate their evil plan. If more people were awake now we’d have more chance of thwarting it.
Farage abandoned us leaving us to navigate through this on our own. Some of us smelt a rat from the start of this “health” crisis and surely he did too, and should have been there for us to counter the brainwashing.
Interesting comment Mary, that I cannot really argue against as I have always likened him to the Pied Piper, not just from my early assessment of his conduct, but from the actuality of his garb when he appeared in our town’s open market place.about 2012
I was chatting to a stall holder at the time and he exclaimed “oh! he’s come dressed as country” although Gainsborough has a strong river port and industrial past, it is surrounded by “rural”
If I remember correctly he was dressed in a wide brimmed leather “Mexican?”type hat, Green jacket and Yellow trousers added to that I’ve always thought his fizzog had a Puckish look, so I did liken him even then to the Pied Piper..
So I agree, one should not forget the original Piper’s mission was to lead all the children into oblivion and Nigel’s record proves he has an erratic succession of surprise turnings and very few can read accurately his intentions at any time.
When he resigned saying “he was not a Politician” was a it of a porky, I think he is one of the most gifted politicians of his age, unfortunately perhaps with a Machiavellian touch.
Oh! In my opinion he’s just the man for the job
