Larry, Chief Mouser, has not been used as Johnson’s ‘deaths cat’.
They don’t get it. Not Johnson, not the Westminster journalists and especially not their ‘sources’ whose breathless whispers fill the ‘Christmas Party at No 10’ articles. It’s not their rule-breaking which stinks and which rightfully angers all of us who have kept those rules even when it hurt us – it’s the blatant entitlement with which they broke those rules and which seeps out even when they tearfully resign in front of the cameras like Ms Stratton.
You can, if you must, watch that clip here, in a comment piece by Ms Vine for the DM. Ms Vine is the former spouse of a certain Mr Gove from whom nothing has been heard for a long time – does he perhaps miss his access to the Westminster press critters which she formerly provided? Ms Vine on her part turns this resignation into another wail about wimmin always being blamed. Well, my dear, if someone puts both feet firmly into their mouths then surely their gender is irrelevant if they are made to carry the can? Or must wimmin in high offices still be given the automatic excuse for misdemeanours we accord to toddlers?
As for ‘that’ party – well, it’s truly wonderful how the broadsheets are spluttering with indignation, trying to concoct some sort of ‘narrative’ in which all this partying was only done by the No 10 staff and SpAds, according to ‘sources’ (link, paywalled). There was only ‘cheese and wine’, really, and some ‘secret Santa Gifts’: harmless fun, really … The odd thing is that they try to insinuate that the PM himself didn’t participate, and one name is conspicuously missing. It’s as if all those friends of Carrie and friends of friends of Carrie went partying without her having an inkling, never mind participating. If you believe that …
Another defendant of Ms Stratton is Fraser Nelson. His comment piece in yesterday’s DT wonders mainly if the public would actually ‘play along’ with covid rules. Well, wait and see, innit! However, this introductory remark is … remarkable:
“His [Johnson’s] 10 Downing Street was already beset with chaos last autumn, feuding and indecision: firm pledges made one way were torn up the next. The Prime Minister allowed himself to be pushed around so much that he was nicknamed ‘the shopping trolley’ by those who did the pushing.” (paywalled link)
A sly dig at a certain Mr Cummings who’d already been made to leave by then? Or actually an acknowledgement that the mice, all those FoCs (Friends of Carrie) were dancing on the tables now that the Cummings cat was gone? Or is it a sly hint that Johnson is now fair game, perhaps even ‘oven-ready’, and can be attacked with impunity?
Meanwhile the DT in their report (paywalled link) is trying to divert attention by flying a kite – or is it a ‘dead cat’? They’re asking who leaked that giggling video of Ms Stratton in the first place, if these are the same sinister ‘sources’ who leaked the infamous Hancock video. Nice try – but not good enough. It’s not about leaking, it’s about the indelible proof that those who ‘rule’ us are not following their own rules. We’ve seen this at the G7 summit in June already. They keep mocking us while they’re doing this – they’re entitled.
And so the infamous ‘Plan B’ which Johnson produced yesterday: mask mandates, WFH, ‘vaccine passports’ and the possibility of compulsory vaccinations (link). Several comment piece writers have called this another of Johnson’s ‘dead-cat’ ploys in their semi-outraged articles. Here’s another strange thing: Laura Dodsworth wrote in her emailed newsletter yesterday afternoon that actually, according to her source, this ‘Plan B’ was already ‘oven-baked’ and that the ‘Plan A’ mask mandate was simply a softening-up exercise.
However, amidst their ‘Party revelations’ the MSM’s main concern isn’t so much this infamous ‘Plan B’ but those dead cats they discover. Of course they won’t raise doubts about the use of ‘Plan B’. – they clearly feel they’ll be exempt because they’re entitled. It must be obvious even to the most careful covid lemming that this Plan B was always going to be used as political ploy, as a ‘dead cat’ when circumstances demanded. Meanwhile, the covid fiefdom of Mr Javid wasn’t quite prepared for ‘Plan B’. The precious NHS ‘vaccine passport app’ crashed after Johnson plonked said dead-cat-Plan B on the table (link).
While all that was going on, The Times this morning had two articles, side-by side. Nothing could demonstrate better the utter shambles this whole covid policy has become. Yon SAGE member, Professor Van-Tam, announced officially that the NHS has approved the new anti-covid treatment Molnupiravir (see here on what this is and who makes it), and had bought 500,000 courses. It’s an official announcement because there were already reports on this month ago, e.g. here). Was this meant to’ve been another ‘dead cat’?
Moreover, while government didn’t disclose how much this would cost us it’s alleged that one full treatment will set the NHS back about £500. It’s to be used initially on ‘the most vulnerable’:
“Oxford University scientists [are] hoping to recruit 10,000 people who have recently received a PCR positive test and who are either over 50 or have an underlying condition. Half will receive the antivirals and half will not — to gather data on effectiveness. From next week those at the highest risk, such as people having cancer treatment or who are immunocompromised, will be offered molnupiravir and the antibody treatment ronapreve.” (link, paywalled)
Yep – get a +ve PCR test and you’ll be ‘offered’ the opportunity to become a covid guinea pig if you’re ‘vulnerable’. Don’t ask why people would ‘catch covid’ if so many are double~ or triple~jabbed, and never mind that Omicron is now turning out to be no more than the sniffles. Meanwhile, we read that clinical trials for new cancer drugs have dropped by 60% thanks to covid (link, paywalled). Nothing illustrates better the perversity of the Covid policies than this further abandonment of cancer patients by the NHS and by the Covid emperors.
They’re indeed mocking us, with dead cats produced by the Johnson Covid government and ‘outrage’ report by all those oh-so-well-connected Westminster hacks. One wonders if some of them weren’t guests themselves at such parties, either in No 10 or in their various news offices.
I notice that one lot of animals hasn’t been mentioned: not cats, dead or alive, but rats – fat Westminster rats who are surreptitiously leaving the sinking Johnson ship with improper haste. May they suffocate on their secretive Christmas Party canapes, may their bubbly be flat and taste of another liquid substance, may they experience hangovers from hell every single day and may they suffocate and drown slowly in the Westminster swamp they’ve created.
err this “public conversation” about mandatory vaccinating that Boris was waxing enthusiastic about yesterday.
I would be interested in well quite a lot of things
For instance would it be, as I elieve it should, be with the whole after all the government couldn’t possibly learn anything that had validity, with
a) too small a number
b) where they only selected the ‘elite’ I.e. A those the considered intelligent and educated enough.to understand all the complicated issues.is
c) those who they ‘rely’on to support whatever nonsense they put up
Since it is of such absolute significance to our democracy, free speech and part of rights of free expression and Liberty from tyranny, nothing short of a referendum would be suitable in which the government would require a two thirds majority to proceed.
The government plus the opposition, having shed all Moral Authority and now in the light of overt public distrust of their modes and motives must surely wish in this instance to show absolute integrity. ( did I hear hollow laughs and cries like “chance would be a fine thing” or the sound of aerial porkies passing over? – you bet!)
Friday’s Betrayal. Comment section includes a Jeff Taylor exposition of how far we are down the road towards this ” public discussion” and an inevitable imposition not only of the tyranny of mandatory vaccinations but also the ENDLESS continuance of the crisis Covid legal measures beyond March when they are up for renewal under the guise of JUST in CASE forever.
He outlined the urgency of gathering all ‘we rebels’ under one leader to fight ONE ISSUE ( is this a reflection of my call above for this public debate to be the basis of a referendum?) he suggests there is only one possible leader who knows how to carry the fight to the enemy.
he names NIGEL FARAGE
I agree with him on all issues the government must be forced to grant a referendum that should ask the question
“Does the electorate agree to the mandating of any medical intervention on the electorate and end the continuous State of Ovid Emergency imposed by the 31st March 2022
Note this will revoke all measures imposed under this legislation”
” Please answer Yes or No, note a No answer will require at least 75% to have any effect”
The one thing that sticks out a mile is that all of these restrictions and diktats were planned well in advance. That is obvious. You’re last paragraph Viv says it perfectly.
Indeed; it would be interesting to see what else is on their playlist.
MiR. That’s exactly how I see it. Neil Ferguson didn’t give a hoot about the virus. He invited his married mistress from the other side of London for a leg over during lockdown even though his ruddy algorithm was the basis of lockdown. Those partygoers at Downing Street were equally blase…and this was when jabbing had just started for the over 90 years olds.
Well, you weren’t to know Viv:-
A friend of mine had a cat who has died, almost certainly because our council has been putting down rat poison.
The rats were NOT coming into buildings. We’ve had rats in our outdoor environment for centuries.
We’ve also kept pets for centuries. Our cats actually help to control the rats.
Another example of how bureaucracy has gone mad and don’t the M.S.M. egg them on.
Me and my cat do not live near there so I think mine is safe but I’m still furious and wondering whether there is anything I can do.
Meanwhile I’ve just checked again, how exactly, I can disobey the reimposed mask mandate to go into a shop.
But I shouldn’t bl**dy well have to !!
And I’ve ordered torch and headlamp from Amazon for when the Grid goes down.
Guy Fawkes make sure you rescue all the dogs and cats before you blow this lot up.
Molnupiramir – well so long as it is ONLY used on consenting adults who are certain they are about to die of Covid19 without it, well maybe useful BUT that is a lot of maybes and what a surprise it is a lot more money into big pharma’s pockets.
Pauline.,No I keep saying,This is a designed illness. Omicron is the hitmans (designers) cleanup squad.’
1 Omicron is more transmissable. so it swamps Covid other variants.
2. Like Viv says , it just gives the sniffles at worst . So no one off work.
3 Omicron conffers Immunity s so , If you get the sniffles you won’t get covid..maybe.= a clean world population
4 Lessons learned
a)World Population must fall. This is just a shot across the bows to check out what can be done in a contrilled fashion next time.
b)Start earlier and finish earlier
c)Politicians justhopeless
d ) Reclassify proffessions into working grades. So that a limited number can be experts or advisers or summat.and the elders of these to repass exams
e)National industries are an abomination, only slightly worse than nothing. and the elders of these to repass their exams
perfect
For a minute or two, world population may have fallen. Lots of useful information such as the affect on religion or Waring areas. Splendid stuff for world domination.
Hi Pauline
Sing Christmas carols as you do your shopping mask free in Tesco’s.
https://www.gbnews.uk/news/plan-b-shoppers-could-sing-their-way-around-supermarket-without-a-mask-under-new-rules/177257?fbclid=IwAR2bCAX_C9GtXv9vK_oOidGnrHyYv-oq-ROFEfiAwOuyKMYJia6G4OGZi4g
THANK YOU CERI !!! You made me laugh.
Not so much a dead cat manoeuvre as a shark jumped. If there was anyone left who mistook Boris for a serious politician, this ought to have dispelled the myth. Which in the long run may be the best news for a long while.
Dan Wootton last night asked Richard Tice, the gist of which was, whether he believed it was remotely possible that a PM would recklessly launch the country into another damaging and costly series of repressive measures simply to draw attention away from a series of major scandals and embarrassments for both him and his party.
Tice did what no ‘normal’ politician ever does. He said simply: “Yes! I do.”
Phil O’S. I admit that is unusual for a (prospective) politician. So maybe he has gone up a notch in my estimation. But no, I do not think he is going to save us.
Did Dan Wooton ask Richard Tice if Reform UK intended to replace the Tory Party or seek to ‘reform’ it? Did he ask if he would stand candidates down against selected Tories who may agree with Reform UK policies? Tice needs to convince voters/activists that he isn’t going to be another Farage who marched his troops up the hill and marched them back down again.
Jake……..well, one thing is abundantly certain Reform UK will not harness too many votes with its current inept electoral strategy of primarily campaigning on cutting taxes, reducing government waste and securing borders. Apart from the latter policy of securing borders, the other policies that were mentioned time and again in Richard Tice’ Facebook videos during the Sidcup and Old Bexley by election are not exactly on the tip of everybody’s tongues or indeed register too much importance compared to other concerns. What we want to hear from Reform UK are their solutions to the English Channel migrant crisis and Immigration in general, their solution to the Northern Ireland protocol impasse where that part of the UK is treated differently from the rest of the country, what they intend to do about Fishing and Territorial Waters issue where French fishermen are permitted to fish within six miles of our shore to the detriment of our own fishermen, and how they are going to hold the present government to account over continuing draconian Covid 19 restrictions on our lives and the damaging effect it will have on our economy. And allied to this what they intend to do about continual the trashing of our freedoms and civil liberties, in the name of a virus that has still only affected a small proportion of the country’s population Apart from these very important issues I want to hear from their leadership how they are going too democratise the party where the membership has some input as to how it is governed, financed and who the leader should be. I would rather have Farage leading Reform UK than Tice any day. At the very least he has charisma by the bucket load and is not dull boring and bland. Until Reform UK buck up their ideas across the board, they wont be going anywhere….
Good that the Christmas party business is getting some of the sheeple angry at long last. but we have to remember it’s still a “Squirrel” or distraction from far more serious news which MSM don’t report; such as the fact that most of the sick/hospitalised with the lurgy are double jabbed. Or the injuries. Or the real seriousness of the migrant crisis coupled with the impending fiscal meltdown. and deliberate brainwashing and scapegoating of the unvaxxed. I could go on…
mary. Yes I agree about the jabs not working and causing deaths/injuries. And about the migrant crisis. And the increasing threats to the unjabbed.
Add the climate change scam to your list.
That anger of the sheeple will be a 9 day wonder of course, while the real threats to our whole way of life gather strength.
If we had a present day Guy Fawkes, perhaps anarchy would be a better system! Would we notice the difference?
We would not notice the difference since anarchy is what TPTB are deliberately creating. They’re taking a wreckig ball to us, our civilisation, our wealth such as it is.
> those who ‘rule’ us are not following their own rules
Prof. David McGrogan’s conclusion (today in dailysceptic – https://dailysceptic.org/tag/secret-santa-gate/):
“Boris Johnson and his cronies have all of the data, have all the latest updates from their team of crack scientists and medics, and they clearly do not think that Covid is much of a personal risk. It is starkly, uncompromisingly revealed by their actions. They aren’t worried about having Christmas parties. They aren’t worried about ‘super-spreader events’. They aren’t worried about killing their grandmothers.
The natural question that should follow is: so why should we worry? … while people enjoy being outraged about Tory sleaze, they simply aren’t very concerned about the wider implications. They will grumble and grouse, but they will continue to wear their masks, continue to cancel Christmas parties, loyally display their vaccine passports when the requirement inevitably comes, and work from home when told.”
Last night on GB news
Nigel was asking a question that I believed Starmer asked at Question Time
“Had Borbis the Moral Authority to…………?” ( presumably to carry on in his post as PM
I would ask has any Parliamentariian, who took the 10,000 pieces of expenses silver and which approved all the actions sanctioned by an enabling motion only to introduce all manner of legislation, ostensibly to deal with Covid and now apparently used to traduced democracy and free speech in all sorts of other spheres.
They’re all part of the stinking cess pit ( well nearly all, perhaps there were some who didn’t take the blood money – has there ever been a published list of virgins?)
Roger….I think we would be in a far better state if ‘Borbis’ was in power rather Boris, I have to say.
Yeah, you are correct about the typoColin,
But more to the point is; am I right in my comment that all of them are in it together and have already forfeited Moral aithority
Sorry he might b a bit borboristic but otherwise (that’s a stupid word he’s far from wise) otherwise he remains Boris despite the efforts of my self appointed interpreter.
A mere typo forsooth ( again just caught him at it in the bud again he was trying out ” sore tooth”, maybe he’s more perceptive than I can see – I do have a sore gum where my Sally is making it a bit tender)
Boris Johnson is a hopeless case and his muppetry has gone beyond the point of redemption. He needs to resign and resign now. And if he doesn’t go he should be pushed out of the door but those seemingly blind and oblivious people who pass for party managers at Conservative Central Office. As for Michael Gove, well, what can one say. He is a supercilious twerp at the best of times, and ideally we don’t want to hear from him at all. He has nothing to offer this country one iota, and needs to go and get a proper job. As for his idea that the new restrictions don’t go far enough, well, he needs to learn that this country is not an authoritarian dictatorship and that our civil liberties and freedoms are not his property or that of his chum Johnson, to throw upon the fire at his or their whim. Time is overdue for both Johnson and Gove to take a permanent hike out of our lives I feel. I am seething with rage at these utter imbeciles who supposedly govern over us. Come on Nigel (Farage) time to get another party party started and work towards tipping this utter shower out of government and parliament at the next general election
Colin. Is it Conservative Central Office that have the power to make him resign?
Pauline…..probably not, but they can instigate it behind the scenes I am sure. The 1922 back bench committee is the body that carries it through though. I would hope that at least some letters of no confidence have by this time been submitted to Sir Graham Brady to get the ball rolling. Nigel Farage said on his GB programme last night, that he doubts whether Johnson will be in post at the end of this parliament, but in all honesty we cannot wait until then to be rid of him. Before long his MP’s are going to realise that he has become a vote loser. The writing was on the wall at last weeks by election in Sidcup and Old Bexley where the Conservative majority dropped from 19,000 to 4,000, and that seat has dropped into marginal territory. If a new right of centre political party was to come onto the scene which could provide a proper conservative alternative to the sham one offered by the Conservative Party and Reform UK, then it could sweep up.
Thanks Colin for that info.
I thought Sidcup and Old Bexley result was very significant.
Come on 1922 Committee get cracking!
This is rationing again. They’ll keep it going for years. I reckon 2029.
