Our future according to the wishes of the Westminster critters
Looking at this morning’s news reports it’s becoming a bit more obvious: the Westminster critters are working hard but surreptitiously for ‘regime change’. They, especially the chief editors in the Westminster MSM, believe we don’t notice. However, there’s a silver lining: the comment posters writing below the line wherever they’re permitted to do so. Not all common sense has left this Nation.
The first of today’s bunch of ‘gasp-horror’ news aimed at making us wish for ‘regime change’ is yesterday evening’s announcement by Ms Cressida Dick, Met Commissioner. She announced her resignation, allegedly a few hours after she said she wouldn’t. While the Broadsheets are relating that her reason for resigning was that she felt she didn’t have the support of Khan (link paywalled, paywalled link), the DM has the juiciest detail (link): she declined to attend a meeting with Khan in the afternoon but resigned instead.
Instead of digging for Dame Cressida’s real reasons (aren’t there enough ‘sources’ in the Met police?) we’re immediately provided with speculations about who would replace her (paywalled link, link paywalled). Comment posters are scathing, pointing out that clearly, there’s only one candidate who’d tick all the correct boxes, Commander Neil Basu. According to the Times, he is:
“A strong contender who would become the force’s first non-white commissioner, Basu is the UK’s most senior counterterrorism officer. He is highly respected across policing but has a prickly relationship with Priti Patel. Home Office sources have said that Basu would never become commissioner “as long as Priti is home secretary”. He has also criticised Boris Johnson over racist language.” (link, paywalled)
He’s perfect for the Westminster denizens, especially as Ms Patel isn’t ‘comfortable’ with him. That would be a great help once Starmer is in No 10. Make no mistake: the Westminster MSM are tireless in making him look palatable. See for example the latest report in The Times, about him and the General Secretary of the biggest Trade Union, Unite, locking horns:
“Sir Keir Starmer has accused one of Labour’s biggest trade union backers of “threatening” him, amid suggestions that it could pull its party funding. Sharon Graham, general secretary of Unite, said that she was considering withdrawing the union’s funding of Labour because of a dispute between a Labour-run council and bin collectors.” (link, paywalled)
It’s a perfect opportunity to present Starmer as a modern-day Labour version of Mrs Thatcher. See what he told the BBC:
“I’m not going to have the Labour Party I lead threatened by anybody, and that’s the long and the short of it. The merits of individual disputes I’ll debate all day, uphill and down dale, but I’m not going to be challenged. We’re not going to be influenced by those who say we’ll only provide money if you do ‘X’. No.” (link, paywalled)
Translated, this means: Labour ain’t like the Tories who do what Tory donors want – oh no! And Labour won’t be dictated to by the Trade Unions – oh no! Well, if you believe that …
Starmer seems to be quite content however to let smaller trade unionists run rampant. There was no criticism of the actions of the GP’s ‘trade union’, supporting the deterioration of GP’s services to us. There was no criticism of the actions of the teachers’ trade unions literally abandoning teaching our kids in schools unless the strictest covid measures were adopted. Not a word did he say about civil serpents going back to work, to serve us, rather than WFH. He supported Johnson’s restrictive covid measures to the hilt, only criticising them for not going far enough.
We can have a jolly good guess at what he’d do should he get into No 10 since our esteemed covid scientists are already warning that lifting all covid measures is ‘irresponsible politics’:
“Boris Johnson’s plan to ease all lockdown restrictions early has been criticised by doctors and scientists, including one leading expert [Prof Tim Spector] who said it was irresponsible and based on politics rather than data. […] Other experts raised concerns about removing the requirement to isolate if infected, saying it could prove to be a “very stupid” move.” (link paywalled)
Yep – Johnson is irresponsible and needs to be replaced by Starmer who’d keep us all in one or another form of lockdown! After all, “we” are equally irresponsible when we insist on our freedom. And lo and behold, there’s the latest ‘virus scare’:
“Just hours after Boris Johnson unveiled plans to lift all Covid regulations in England on Wednesday, an alert warned of a new disease threat facing Britain: two people had been diagnosed with Lassa fever, a viral haemorrhagic disease similar to Ebola.” (paywalled link)
Ooh – Ebola! Be very afraid, keep being scared to death! Do read this next quote carefully, it’s a nice little lesson in how to keep the fear porn going:
“As yet, there is no licensed vaccine and treatments are poor. Lassa’s arrival in Britain, in travellers from West Africa, is highly unlikely to trigger a major outbreak – although scientists told The Telegraph to watch this space in the coming days. They would not elaborate, but it is possible a track and trace initiative will be launched, further cases announced or that there will be complications in the patients’ treatment.” (paywalled link)
No ‘licenced vaccine’ – surely Pfizer will work on it? And surely we’ll all be happy for another reason for ‘test and trace’, perhaps another reason to keep that muzzle mandate going, another reason for a ‘health passport’ … especially when we’re told that:
“unlike Covid, it spreads through direct contact with the bodily fluid of an infected person, or after contact with the urine or faeces of infected rats. As long as you were not sitting next to someone with it, there would be little cause for concern.” (paywalled link)
It’s so much easier to keep up ‘health restrictions’ because of covid, Lassa, whatever: who cares as long as we peasants do as we’re told. It’s also far cheaper than tackling the rat problem in the cities of the UK. Shouldn’t the Nudge Unit nudge people into refraining from throwing away fast food containers, feeding rats who might spread Lassa fever?
And finally, while our esteemed Foreign and Defence secretaries have undertaken trips to Moscow, exhorting Putin, there’s a little report from a ‘war correspondent’ in Ukraine. He writes about his visit to a troop training to use the NLAWS which “we” have given the Ukraine, the troop commander saying these were ‘game changers’, thanking us for them (link). Wasn’t that nice of us – giving them our latest weapons!
I wonder if all our own troops are similarly equipped. I wonder how much this ‘gift’ cost us taxpayers. Since the Ukrainian top politicians have told ‘The West’ to stop their warmongering, that they don’t think a Putin invasion is imminent, I now ask myself if this whole Ukrainian ’exercise’ had one aim only: to blackmail NATO countries into giving them modern weapons ‘for free’ rather than buying them in the usual way. That Biden and the USA were happy to keep warmongering for their own domestic political reasons is another story.
So what did we learn today? That the Westminster swamp critters are , like rats, gnawing away at our freedoms, that they regard the leader of the ‘loyal’ opposition as their ally to keep their boots on our necks.
They’re gearing up for ‘regime change’ – so we better do the same. You’ve been warned!

Are the press egging it up? Yup. Is it a con? Not really, haemorrhagic fevers are nasty – BUT… person to person spread is via bodily fluids therefore it is much, much easier to manage than a highly contagious airborne virus. Absolutely no need to hide away or reach for the respirator grade mask (they’re for the airborne jobbies not Lassa)
Do I hold my breath about the risk of it getting into our rat population, the only situation which would concern me? After all, it didn’t when we had incidences here before.

Funny that. I have never seen a live wild rat. Many many years ago there was a dead one in Sheffield. Probably killed by one of my own cats.
Some years later I saw a dead one at the back of a sandwich shop in Buxton. I suspected it was a plant aimed at victimising that shop.
Recently I heard about how the Borough Council, running my friend’s sheltered accommodation building, had put rat poison down in their courtyard.
That meant cats and dogs were banned from the courtyard. Rather inconvenient for residents that had cats!
NO RATS HAD EVER BEEN KNOWN TO ENTER THE BUILDING!

Pauline, yes of course. Before we know it, out illustrious prime minister will be ordering lock downs and restrictions on our movements over Rats and Lassa Fever. That is in between ramping up the rhetoric over the Russia-Ukraine border situation and trying to provoke a situation, and ordering Britons to leave the Ukraine immediately like he has done today. I think he will do anything to try and gloss over his failings of the Covid era and foisting restrictions on our lives whilst he and those around him carried on as usual. We need rid of this fool, and quickly….
One can’t blame anybody for deciding not to have a meeting with Sadiq Khan, I mean he is just yet another failed politician who is driven by political dogma whilst doing next to nothing for the people of London. Talk about money for old rope as he takes it to whole new level. From my perspective as a retired police officer who spent 35 years pounding a beat, Cressida Dick was over promoted and should never have been appointed Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis (the position’s correct title) in the first place. Setting aside her failings in the Jean Charles Menezes affair, she had in fact retired from the police and taken a job as a senior civil servant in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office before being head hunted for the position of Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. This role has for a very long time been taken by a serving police officer who was already in post, but her appointment broke that tradition. In the Victorian times and early 20th century, the post of Metropolitan Police Commissioner was taken in the main by retired high ranking Army or RAF officer, but eventually it became a position where somebody attained that role by coming through the ranks, and that is the way it should be. However Cressida Dick entered the police under graduate entry scheme where one attain the rank of Chief Inspector very quickly. The trouble with this, is that the person concerned spends very little time on the street where the bulk of policing occurs, and in so doing gains insufficient grounding in how to apply the law to basic police duties. Nowadays, one is able to go from private industry and joinhe police at Superintendent level without having had any experience of policing the streets providing one has a suitable degree, and therein lies the problem. Successive governments of all political persuasions have over the years politicised the police and is used as a political football, which is simply not good enough and should cease immediately. Did we not have a referendum thrust upon us by a Conservative government no less which asked the electorate whether the post of Police and Crime Commissioners be created across the country. And as far as I can remember, about 15% of the electorate actually voted in that ludicrous referendum, the majority of which voted against having Police and Crime Commissioners, but tuypical of our political class they decided to ignore the people’s will and went ahead with their plan anyway. Sadiq Khan represents everything that is bad about having someone as Police and Crime Commissioner, but who knows nothing about policing, but he is not the only one. If Cressida Dick had been required to resign because of her failure to get a grip of major crime and drastically improve clear up rates, I would have understood. Instead she has been forced into this position over police culture. The police should be allowed to police the streets without katowing to political correctness with one hand tied behind their backs, and policing needs to return to a point where it is not controlled by politicians, but by the people.
Well said, and widely echoed I am sure. But futile because as you point out, even on the rare occasion the people are asked, TPTB do what they intended, regardless of the result.
This Cressida Dick business looks a bit strange to me.
I first saw it broadcast by Nigel on GB tv last night and then followed up by Mark Steyn.
All sorts of reasons for her demise were postulated and many of her failures were semi-explored.
But for me there was one sin she committed which over rides all others, and nothing was made of it.
I believe she opened the gate for the whole BLM movement takeover of our democracy and way of life.
By allowing if not ordering her officers “to take the knee” during an illegal demonstration/occupation of that terrorist movement,
as far as I can tell, they assembled in a period of Lock down, where there was no attempt at social distancing or little mask wearing etc.etc. and plainly permitted by her police force (if not sanctioned and encouraged)
To me, this was really where BLM really “took off”.

I keep my conspiracy theorist hat within sight to remind me to think beyond the usual media theatre and misdirection. The Met accepted evidence of what, to simplify things, let’s just call malfeasance in public office regarding the whole Covid play; issued a crime number and allocated named officers to investigate. Listening to much comment, Dick seems to have been well meaning but tone deaf and pretty inept all round, and maybe this was her fatal mistake. She needed replacing with someone more biddable and less ‘error’ prone. True, other forces, too, have similarly issued crime numbers on the same basis, for their areas: Yorkshire, Manchester, Thames Valley. I am not saying I believe it, it’s a bit of a leap; just to stay alert and watch the background not the shiny toys waved in front of our eyes. Mr Global practices ‘a stitch in time’; he is very sharp at spotting and snuffing even the smallest potential cracks in his narrative, even whilst people are driving trucks through it right now.
She was promoted (yes!), after the Menendes killing by police, for her part in it. Scarlet got a promotion and became a sir – memory not good.
The Peter Principle – already demonstrably incompetent, promoted even further than that low level of competence.
Everything that is wrong with our ‘establishment’ Biscotte. Dick should, as the officer in charge, have fallen on her sword after the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes. Jumpy armed officers, nor following protocol (if they’re that jumpy they should not be armed) and worse, a spin claiming the person they shot was an illegal immigrant who panicked when asked to stop by cops. Because many of us, hearing that would shrug and say ‘good, one less’!

Instead of doing the decent thing and standing down, she stays put and gets promoted!
Couple the tribal loyalties of the Civil Serpents, where no none ever fails as it reflects on the service and we can’t have that can we, with the Peter Principal that says people will continue to be promoted until reaching a level at which they are incompetent, et voila.
So Putin is going to meet the NLAWS. We are often told we may be small but we have the latest equipment, so that’s alright then. This system was developed in 2002. I don’t suppose Russia has had time in the short 20 years since to figure out evasive measures.
