I am shocked, deeply saddened and hugely disappointed by the lemming-like behaviour of our fellow citizens. However, I cannot blame them. The nearly two-year-long incessant covid fear propaganda is bearing fruit. So why wouldn’t they queue in the cold and rain to get that Boris-Booster!
After all, didn’t the MSM tell them to? Didn’t Javid move the goalposts again when he declared that from now on, only three jabs on that jab passport which “we” won’t have means one will be ‘fully protected’ according to covid law? Didn’t the Tory grandee William Hague declare in his opinion piece in The Times this morning that the “Unvaxxed’” (link, paywalled) are putting the whole country ‘at risk’?
What does it matter that the NHS is again ‘overwhelmed’ – not the hospitals but the booster~jab booking line? It makes such a lovely scary headline (paywalled link)! The general propaganda story (I’m sick of using the word ‘narrative’) is that, while ‘people heeded the Boris-Booster-Appeal’, the fabulous Sacred Cow which we have protected for nearly two years is again incapable of coping.
It’s not just that ‘booster booking line’ which is being overwhelmed – NHS bosses are now telling Johnson and all the national covid lemmings that they cannot ‘meet the Boris-Booster- Appeal’ (link, paywalled). So, like any good dictator, this covid PM has now appealed for ‘volunteers to come forward to help’ (how, for fluffs’ sake?) him achieve his goal of warp-speeding these booster jabs (link). There’s even been talk of scrapping the 15-minute post-jab wait meant to see if people didn’t display symptoms of adverse effects right after that jab.
Any sane person would ask if this is really about ‘protecting the Nation’s health’ or if this is about ‘protecting’ the insane booster decision of this PM who gives the impression of having lost his rational mind! Meanwhile, the fear-poor purveyors aren’t yet sufficiently focussed on whom to blame. It is difficult, isn’t it, when the PM is so obviously in line with the Big Pharma vaccine tsars who’ve been ‘supporting’ our MSM with ‘donations’. He is therefore ‘blameless’. Self-evidently neither can the NHS be blamed, not after the MSM have elevated it to the Nation’s religion.
What does it matter that the lateral flow test kits, mostly ‘made in China’, have become unavailable! People need those tests to document that they can leave their self-isolation and many are using them as a matter of ‘daily hygiene’, checking they are uninfected just as they check their blood pressure. Just read this and weep because it shows that fear goes hand-in-hand with selfishness:
“Thousands of pharmacies completely ran out of lateral flow tests after the Government’s own website was overwhelmed by an 85 per cent surge in demand. Home deliveries of rapid tests were suspended on the Gov.uk website at around 10am, with a message telling users: “Sorry, there are no more home tests available right now. Try again later.” On Monday, the NHS website had been updated with a message urging the public not to phone 999 if they are trying to get hold of lateral flow tests. It said: “111, 119 and 999 do not have access to more rapid lateral flow tests today.” (paywalled link)
This is how ‘we stand together’ and ‘protect our sacred cow’: by calling 999 when the NHS site crashes and people can’t book deliveries of free test kits! Meanwhile, the fear porn is still pumped out, with graphs of ‘projected cases’. The story yesterday, of Johnson declaring that, omigawd, “we” had the first Omicron death, is silently being disappeared, not least because the remaining sane comment posters across the MSM pointed out gleefully that this poor person died ‘with’, not ‘of’ Omicron. They were joined by the few remaining sane experts (link) pointing that out.
However, the damage to our international standing was done: the UK is in the global news as being the first country with an Omicron death, as if the world were in a competition to ‘win’ in an ‘Omicron death race’. Actual, scientific evidence that Omicron is not Ebola are generally disregarded even though there’s the odd report published, such as the one in the DT mentioning a Danish study showing that the Omicron ’wave’ seems to be driven by the under-40s (paywalled link).
Johnson’s extraordinary announcement was a very transparent attempt to get the ‘Tory Rebels’ in line for today’s vote on ‘Plan B’ – sometime after 12.30pm. The importance of this vote cannot be overestimated, not least because Starmer, looking sickeningly smug, has made clear that Labour will support Johnson because it’s about ‘the health of this country’.
Those inside the Westminster bubble who hope to finally get Labour back into government, to see Starmer in No 10, are obviously enamoured of the draconian measures which lefty-socialist, Labour-like governments across the world have imposed on their citizens.
Those mostly middle-class and well-off to extremely-rich supporters of Labour’s socialist policies seem to believe that they and their privileges will not be affected – didn’t it work well for them under Labour’s ‘Saint Tone’? I’m not the only one who believes that such change in No 10 would also lead to a drive to ‘Rejoin’ the dysfunctional EU.
Meanwhile, Johnson and the covid/omicron tsars have managed to put the country on what looks like a war-footing. It is simply beyond belief that not just the NHS staff, from GPs all the way up, but also Army, Police, Fire Brigades and council staff ‘trained in jabbing’ are called upon to work 24 hours a day because boosterism takes precedence over everything else. One would think that the insanity of this appeal would strike even the Westminster swamp dwellers, but nooo – just check out this morning’s print headlines lovingly displayed by the BBC here: it’s only what the frightened lemmings wanted, after all.
That’s why our covid lemmings are practically trampling over each other in their demented rush to ‘get the booster’. That’s why personal test kits are unavailable. That’s why I fear the Tory backbench rebellion will fizzle out. Welcome to the new, totalitarian health dictatorship! It’s what ‘Teh People’ want – the people who’ve been driven by incessant fear porn to rush to get jabbed, at the drop of this covid-demented PM’s hat.
That’s why I am so hugely disappointed, deeply saddened and indeed shocked.
Hi. One thing that I notice with surprise is that the B.B.C. have suddenly decided to lead their on-line report with a round up of press headlines. Thanks for the link Viv.
Yes it is to distract from HoC news and to ‘encourage’ us all to have the Boris Jabs.
But the B.B.C. changing the format of it’s output, also looks to me like another example of the dictatorship tightening it’s grip.
Mary – But they only queued up for seven hours in the cold and in the rain.
What else would you do with seven spare hours in a working day?
Hardly psychosis, it was that or die, doncha know.
Actually looking at these photos again, is it possible that some of these photos and this news, to a certain extent, is faked. You remember how they produced fake photography of people dropping dead in China and dead bodies carried out in Bergamo Italy 2 years ago, in a very successful fear mongering campaign. And remember sometimes they pay people to pose in fake photos. Just a thought.
I noticed that Ceri James posted a comment yesterday saying
“That a Financier Jeremy Hoskins had donated £10million to RECLAIM”
I’ve not noticed any comments yet but it sounds a good chunk that will enable this organisation to move forward nationally.
NB I’m sure much more will be needed and I hope at last they will be able to put together a strong sales and marketing organisation.
Selling politics, although not just another product is first and foremost a selling operation
Personally I liked the idea of bill boards on trailers being towed around the streets – that nationally would soon get rid of a few millions smackers.
Politics is an expensive business as Nigel proved when he went after donations in UKIP, he was right but the NEC didn’t like it
Did the NEC have the money to splash out on Nigels spending sprees? No doubt someone will correct me if wrong but I laboured under the view that the NEC members were in some way responsible for the debts of UKIP i.e couldn’t spend money they didn’t have unlike Doris in No 10
I’m afraid I’m with Nigel there is never going to be a campaign with any chance of success if you are not prepared to let the Leader lead.
I remember Nigel’s dedicated objective was to get big ticket big money “investors”.
I’m certain if it was my money going in I wouldn’t want to see it handed over to a committee who might only leak it back to me tied up to specific purposes that they deem important and probably don’t understand that UKIP were at a nexus of opportunity that they did not recognise, perhaps as I heard suggested there was a club like feeling that they didn’t really want Brexit or indeed a referendum, because success would mean change from their comfortable collegiate life.
I also heard tell, there was a substantial long term investor who considered he had a right to consider his money as a debt to be repaid and in fact was well off enough to convert it to a gift and in effect “take the brakes off ” and establish a “winning” money stream
But it’s not my money, I know it is a limited Company and there are rules, but there are many companies who embrace “creative accountancy” and I haven’t heard of a single member of UKIP who at the time didn’t applaud Nigel’s success.
Oh yes lots of money was misspent , all those crazy salaries for a start, were they ever the subject of negotiated performance targets?
The rot still goes on; all those who’s departments for instance get big dibs from big Pharma do they work to some sort of performance targets?
As McMillan (of glorious infamy said ” it’s events dear boy”
I would add my two pennoth “it’s outcomes dear boy”
Roger Yes, you have to give a horse its head when on the home straignt but do remember the NEC was Nigels creation and invariably he did get his way and money (if it was there to be had). Nigel had a love, hate relationship with the NEC of which he had a seat on the committee. When decisions it took were winners he took all the plaudits but when decisions went wrong he shamefully blamed the NEC as amateurs (and worse). I didn’t like that side of Nigel and still don’t. Still, he got us a referendum and for that we should all be eternally grateful.
Thank you for the reply Jake, I love the simile of Nigel having his head when galloping up the final furlong, maybe looking forward to his oats.
Yes I was aware Nigel had a big hand in creating the NEC and it doesn’t surprise me that he sat on the Committee..
I’m not seeking to excuse his behaviour and obvious disrespect and I would guess nastiness.but I would guess he had his share of unwanted nastiness when there was that business of Kilroy trying to muscle in.
And anyway he had good tutors, all those years of learning what real evil involved moving away in that cess pit the EU..
I know this is a bit tongue in cheek, don’t some of those who have achieved greatness exhibit a touch of nastiness, for instance like Tony Hancock ( oh I know the other Hancock could be even nastier, sending an extra 20,000 erstwhile care home inmates and entrants to their fate, mind you that’s great infamy).
But you are right and he did get us, as it has turned out some type of Brexit.
Oh Jake, I also apologise for my brash interventions, and theorising I didn’t know you had a much closer seat at the table. It’s ills ‘wilds’ of Lincolnshire you know, where with the carry on at HO, we learned to distrust most things emanating from that source.
We will know the forecast right or wrong when the clinical trials end . . . in a few years.
Until then stick your gene modifier. Well, you know what I mean.

– Covid the New Religion
Viv I share completely your sadness at this sorry state of affairs. Anway, chin up, we can only keep batting on, sticking to our principles, sticking to provable facts, letting our MPs know our views, joining challenger Right parties, boycotting over zelous covid rule businesses and never giving in to what Mary correctly identifies as ‘mass pshchosis’.
So much for writing to our MPs; I did, explaining all about Covid passes. The rat voted for them today even though he previously said he didn’t like the idea, but would consider voting for it “as a temporary measure!!!!!!!!!!!!” Couldn’t even abstain. It chokes me to see him get a majority of 27000 rising ebery time.
Yes deeply shocked Viv, but I’m sure not surprised.
Just as a matter of interest if there is fear of the NHS being overwhelmed, is nobody urging that the “Nightingales” be re- commissioned
or could it be it’s more a case of NHS administration being overwhelmed?
And nobody has commented on Boris’s “setting aside” the evidence of the mildness of the Omicron variant. I watched Dr Coetze on The Farage programme last night pointing out the South African real worry is still the Delta variant.
And what’s the point in emphasising a three jab passport if the effectiveness of the first two have now virtually run out, surely you only need a booster jab passport.
I take it the whole meaning of a passport is that you are less likely to pass it on to others.
I’ll bet all these longevity forecasts are just that, in fact harbouring a strong element of guesstimates!
Mass psychosis.
probably mary.
