The Covid Empire has won. The Covid Tsar’s ‘Plan B’ measures were cleverly split into four items and with the help of Starmer, Johnson achieved a hollow victory. It’s yes to the mask mandate in most public indoor spaces; yes to mandatory jabs for frontline NHS staff in England from next April; yes to permitting pinged people to avoid quarantine if vaccinated and producing -ve tests – and of course it’s yes to that covid passport.
The majorities for these measures differed but the one for covid passports passed with 369 Ayes, 126 Noes. There were 98 Tory ‘rebels’ and it could’ve been 100 because two Tories forgot to check in with the HoC passports – how confidence-building is that! The fact that Johnson only ‘survived’ because Labour voted with him is mentioned in passing in the MSM, but not as the major story.
There’s one other result which the MSM seem to disregard: the LibDems all voted ‘No’, with the exception of their leader who was absent because he was dutifully self-isolating. This is hugely important because four days ago the bookies saw the LibDems neck-and-neck with the Tories in Paterson’s seat. It’s conceivable that their stance might give the LibDem candidate the final push over the line. Well, we’ll only have to wait one more day to see if voters in that seat are going to show Johnson what they think of his policies.
And that brings us to the question: will the Tory backbenchers, will the 1922 Committee then have the courage to get rid of Johnson? There were many fine speeches by those ‘rebels’, but frankly, I could not be bothered to watch and listen yesterday and I’m not bothered to link to their video clips. We’ve been there before, we’ve heard it all before, and there’s one huge point which makes me doubt that the Tory MPs will do their duty: they’ll not vote against their own interests.
The MSM helpfully and gleefully pointed out that ‘half of Johnson’s back benchers’ voted against him. That means the other half aren’t bothered and nor are those in Johnson’s government pocket. The ten PPS alleged to vote against Johnson voted for his Plan B when it came to the crunch. Tory grandees mutter that the 1922 Committee may have received more than the 54 letters required to trigger a no-confidence vote. without deeds they’re just mutterings from the Off.
What will these restrictions look like ‘on the ground’? We learned yesterday that the NHS apps for booster bookings and covid passports had crashed: ‘overwhelmed’, weren’t they! Today we’re told that, actually, booster jabs and those vital covid tests had run out in England (link, paywalled). Oh dear. So how can even the most compliant covid lemming follow faithfully those new restrictions? Never fear: ‘NHS T & T Bosses’ let it be known that they have sufficient amounts of that stuff – it’s sitting in their warehouses but there are ‘logistical problems’ and so the test kits have to be rationed (paywalled link). Don’t complete the sentence containing ‘brewery’ and ‘organise’ …!
There’s worse: Whitty scared the Nation by predicting 200,000 new cases daily, possibly, conceivably – according to models (link). Javid used those numbers in his attempt to scare the HoC. I leave it to your imagination how he, how the SAGEs can possibly believe these numbers will arise without ‘warp spee mass testing’ when they’re already incapable of delivering those kits ‘for logistical reasons’.
While Whitty warned of ‘astronomical infection rates’ which would see shut-downs across ‘swathes’ of the economy our Sacred Cow was already preparing: “NHS bosses yesterday ordered hospitals to discharge as many patients as possible off wards and into care homes” (link). Haven’t we been here before, with dreadful results? Did the NHS ever do this during a flu epidemic? Wait – shouldn’t we be in the middle of a flu outbreak right now?
I would humbly suggest that these scare numbers were being thrown out by Johnson and his covid helpers not only in order to ‘quell the rebels’ but also to prepare us peasants for ‘Plan C’. Remember: Johnson had reassured the nation that there would be no restrictions, only to plonk the already prepared Plan B as dead cat onto the table. In other words, Plan B was already sitting in Javid’s drawers. So why would we believe Johnson now when he allegedly
“assured Tory MPs at the 1922 Committee that he was not minded to announce new restrictions beyond Plan B measures, despite the rapid spread of omicron. Downing Street sources also stressed that Mr Johnson was hoping the combination of Plan B restrictions and a dramatic scaling up of the booster jabs would be enough to tackle the case surge coming.” (paywalled link)
Given SAGE’s and Johnson’s past form, a ‘Plan C’ will be implemented, especially since the ‘logistical difficulties’ mean that untested, omicron-infested people will have to roam the streets, unboostered. It’s not the covid dictators’ fault, is it, when they have to use Plan C after all.
But wait: just hang in there, submit and never mind another Christmas cancelled privately! Don’t despair – the cavalry is coming, help is at hand:
“A new antiviral pill from Pfizer is on course to become a “critical tool” against Covid after it cut the risk of hospital admission and death by nearly 90 per cent in a final trial, the US drugmaker said. Laboratory tests have also suggested that the treatment, called Paxlovid, remains effective against the Omicron variant. The UK government has bought 250,000 courses, provided that it receives regulatory approval. Pfizer has said it could be available early next year.” (link, paywalled)
It’s dirt-cheap, a course only costing $529 … isn’t Big Pharma wonderful! Aren’t we lucky to have booster jabs and now a pill! A very perceptive comment poster on that Times report remarked: “It’s a protease inhibitor. Perhaps they could have called it Pfizermectin.” Shut up, you plebs! Don’t even think of asking if using Ivermectin might have saved huge amounts of money for Our Sacred Cow! Do comply with all those nice new restrictions, even unto a possible Plan C! Be good covid lemmings and you may receive ‘The Pill’ next year.
With Plan B in force, with Plan C looming, more robust natures are free to tell that whole bunch of covid tyrants and tinpot dictators to eff off or use the appropriate hand signal accompanying the words ‘swivel on this’. As for me, I’ll channel Rhett Butler because “frankly, my dears, I don’t give a damn” – not any longer.
There is definitely One, maybe two new anti covid restrictions, PETITIONS to sign.
See the list in todays (Thurs) Daily Sceptic.
The newest one is against mandatory jabs for all, as in Austria.
One is to repeal all plan B measures and not introduce any more. (plan C).
In case anyone on here has not already found it out, the Daily Sceptic, that used to be Lockdown Sceptics, is a very good site.
Goodness, gracious, me!
There is a list in today’s Daily Sceptic of M.P.s who voted AGAINST Covid Passports.
My M.P., Robert Largan, is on it. Hence my surprise. I think that is the first time he has voted against his party.
Needless to say, I shall congratulate him.
Have had a letter from him about how good or bad the N.H.S. services are in this constituency. So I was thinking about how to reply anyway.
flyer – I suppose we better give them a trial by jury first – see comment re Runnymede!
Pauline – that reminds me of a story and old Fleet Street journalist told me many years ago. He was in some third world country after a coup and he asked what would happen to the old government, the reply was:
“in the morning we give them a fair trial and in the afternoon we hang them.”
Works for me!
Time to start! Runnymede would be a good location.
In reply to Pauline at 2:49
I’ll have to be with you in spirit only, Jack Thomas. Runnymede is like, where all those Westminster/Whitehall/MSM traitors tend to ‘hang out’ (oops, I mean gather), way down South.
I’m even further ‘up North’ than Matt up North!
Had a quick look into protease inhibitors.
a). No way, thank you, I’m not taking one.
b). Big Pharma have been playing with them for yonks. E.G. against H.I.V.
c). If we were still able to buy and prepare, REAL, UNPROCESSED, FOOD we would be getting harmless protease inhibitors in our food.
Viv, wouldn’t it be better for the ‘Con’ rebels to get rid of Boris? Admittedly they could finish up even worse off. (I.e. some alternatives might lose even more voters.)
But surely by now it is becoming clear that come the next G.E., Cons will have a very difficult battle if Boris is still leader.
Surely even Con Central Office must be worried by how over and over he only survives by Lab support.
Come to think – is the problem that the 1922 Committee can’t find any potential replacements?
Of course it would – but they need to go through the motions with the 1922 Committee. Also, there are -still – a very many Tory Party members who believe that Johnson is a vote winner because of his easy manners. Well, if he had kept his adult advisers rather than empty ‘Friends of Carrie’, he might have been in a better place now … politically.
See your point Viv (2.58pm). B.J. couldn’t cope with any adult advisor though, could he.
Excellent article by Delingpole – thank you flyer.
He hits the nail right on the head vis a vis who The Fat Boy is taking his orders from. Also he clearly outlines that the so called ‘rebels’ or as I prefer to call them ‘actors’ might as well have stopped at home – The Fat Boy’s bill was always going to fly through.
Those calling for a leadership change should realise that a leadership change changes nothing. Anyone stepping into The Fat Boys shoes will already have taken the Danegeld before they set one foot into No 10.
Only the destruction of the Tory Party can save our liberties and freedoms and to that end we must all be committed.
‘Tis not just the Tory Party which needs to be destroyed – Labour needs destroying even more urgently!
Viv, at 1.51pm, Totally agree there.
At least you know exactly where you stand with Labour. You can’t say that about the Tories. In fact you couldn’t say that about the Tories since Thatcher’s time. Even then ‘conservatism’ was slowly being dismantled.
Jake. Conservatism totally collapsed with Major, to my mind.
But where on earth do we stand with Labour? I haven’t a clue whether Starmer is a Blair, a Corbyn or what.
That’s why I’ve always had it in for the Tories even more than Labour (whom I detest more than you can ever imagine, especially the vile Starmer). They are VERY sly consummate con -artists and have been solely responsible for the failure of any truly conservative party to take off.
Both parties are servants of Globocap. I just hope it isn’t too late to destroy these foul parties.
On a different topic now, referring back to yesterdays Betrayal and the photo of the huge queues for the clotshot booster: I’m now convinced that this was probably staged in the run up to todays vote. Staged in different towns (there’s no limit to what TPTB would do to maintain their narrative). In the same way that the mass fatalities in Wuhan were staged nearly 2 years ago now. So if that’s any consolation to you Viv.
.
Viv, and I second that. The neo Conservatives under Johnson are absolutely dire, but the Labour Party are even worse if that is possible. The main parties are inhabited by utter political garbage of the highest order. However the Liberal Democrats have gone up in my estimation over the Covid parliamentary vote even though they were Remainers. I wouldn’t cry too much if they won the North Shropshire by election on Thursday, but it would be infinitely better if the Reclaim Party were able to take the seat. That would create an earthquake at Westminster and probably lead to the deserved demise of the clueless, scruffy blond haired buffoon.
The whole damn establishment needs destroying, especially MSM judiciary and accademia.
Here’s a video, four and a half minutes long, it may seem strange but you need to watch until the end. At the end of this video, you’ll understand why you should never listen to a politician and what vile scum they really are. This particular video is about Australia and New Zealand but this is a global phenomenon and applies equally to Britain, Europe and the US.
“Here’s why you should never listen to a politician”
https://rumble.com/vqtia6-heres-why-you-should-never-listen-to-a-politician.html
Found out that my MP voted for all 3 of Boris’ options so he will never again get my vote. He will get an email confirming that shortly.
My MP’s name was not on Steve Baker’s list. He’s a decent guy, ex-fire brigade, one-time minister.
I wrote to him requesting as one of his constituents that he represent me and vote with his conscience not with his party, and explained why.
I also listed:
The Nuremberg Code 1947;
The Siracusa Principles on the Limitation and Derogation Provisions in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights 1984;
And The Universal Declaration of Bioethics and Human Rights 2005.
I finished, saying:
Coercion in any form, forced treatment and treating one for the benefit of another are all criminal acts under these provisions of international law.
Edmund Burke said: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
And asking him to please vote against this Bill.
Perhaps it was an open door, or maybe the together declaration did achieve something.
I was pleased to see his name on the list of heroes.
Phil,O’S
Could well be that it was yourself who swayed him. Well done.
Here’s my letter to MP. . He voted FOR.
“As you doubtless are aware, “vaccine passports” are not about health:they are a sneaky trick to shoehorn in a universal digital ID. Which would be necessary for the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency (in Britain deceptively called Britcoin to make it sound all British and patriotic). This is not inevitable. It would give Government total control over citizens, who would receive a Universal Basic Income rewarding compliance and punishing disobedience. Government’s behaviour over the past 2 years have given us a preview of what life will be like under such a system: total disregard for human rights or dignity , the rule of law or truth, and the endless infliction of suffering, in the service of political objectives, part of a campaign of psychological and economic terrorism.
The vilest aspect of all this the Government’s obscene abuse of children: pointless and obsessive testing, dehumanising masks, isolation, tricking them into becoming guinea pigs for a risky jab. Here are some recent statistics of reported jab injuries: https://yellowcard.ukcolumn.org/yellow-card-reports These are the Government’s own figures yet your assistant tells me that anyone concerned about them is a “crank loon and conspiracy theorist”. These reports are uncorroborated because the MHRA doesn’t want to check them out for fear of finding that the reports are genuine. Which would derail the jab rollout which -if there were any decency or justice- should have been stopped ages ago. None of this is to do with health. It is psychological control designed to dehumanise demoralise and farm people for profit, as if they were animals. Evil and wicked beyond description.
Incidentally, I wrote to you previously this week about the “vaccine passport” and your assistant replied that you were not really in favour but might consider supporting them in future “on a temporary basis.” You doubtless are aware that this response is insulting, nonsensical and a deliberate attempt to deceive”.
An example of deliberate deception by my MP:
In response to my protest a week ago against vaccine passports, my Tory MP or rather his assistant, wrote to me on 6 December that no plans for vaccine passports have been put to Parliament proposing their introduction. He said there was nothing to oppose at the moment. He went on to say that of course, like me , Sir Paul has no desire to see vaccine passports introduced and would only consider supporting them as a temporary measure if the situation with regard to our fight against COVID made it absolutely necessary. We are not at that point today.
That was Dec 6th
I wrote back 12 Dec spelling out in further detail the horrors of vaccine passports.
On Dec 14th Sir Paul voted FOR vaccine passports.
Jack Whilst glad you have arrived at this decision I am disappointed that you would even contemplate voting for an establishment party.
Last para my feelings exactly,
Viv what happened to KBO?
I’ve left it off because I hope readers will KBO anyway while I try to recover, mentally.
Jeff Taylor has a few words to say about this treachery and I agree with him that we’re in dire trouble.
“They own you!”
Jeff Taylor
https://youtu.be/IAhthm2YqAg
James Delingpole to has some gloomy words to say about our dire predicament, the title is self explanatory and again I agree with him.
“Delingpole: Democracy Is Dead in the UK – and Everywhere”
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2021/12/14/democracy-is-dead-in-the-uk-and-everywhere/
We have to wake up to the fact that we’re at war, our democracy, way of life and country have been undermined and attacked from within.
I remember reading articles about the above many years ago, they were dubbed conspiracy theories but now, too late, people are waking up to the fact that these theories were in fact the truth. We can forget expecting the vast majority of our politicians to look after our interests: they have been bought and paid for. Perhaps our politicians will listen to us if we string a few of them up; it sounds drastic and outrageous but it’s happened in our history before and probably it’s our only option now.
flyer I don’t think Britain has ever Hung it’s POLITICIANS.
We decapitated a king, Charles 1 and have hung many rebels but not, I think, any politicians.
Perhaps that’s where we’ve gone wrong!
Pauline – I meant human history, globalisation innit. That’s where we’ve gone wrong indeed, there’s a first time for everything.
