Larry the Chief Mouser wishes the current actor in No 10 were gone already

In 24 hours the polling stations open for the local elections. It’s not important because these elections are ‘only local’ and who cares about such issues like rubbish collections or the decline of local services despite higher council taxes. Therefore, our dear MSM are silent on this matter but they do ridicule Johnson for something he said about buses or summink – no, I didn’t check that out, it’s only a headline which you can find at the usual place in the customary compilation here.

How concerned the Westminster editors are for our plight, how keen to look like ‘warriors for the poor’ is shown by the uproar about BP having had ‘bumper earnings’, that therefore a windfall tax is needed. Yes, right – but let’s not get upset about the financial and military ‘aid’ the PM and his underlings are pumping into the Ukraine and the ongoing war. This aid now adds up to half a billion £££.

Why is it that neither our MPs nor the ‘concerned’ Westminster hacks, keen on windfall taxes, point out that this money could have been used for our Sacred Cow? That we’re not at war? That we are paying exorbitant taxes? That our own armed forces have been depleted of material and manpower? That surely, with Putin probably looking at occupying these here British Isles next, we ought to be able to do more than just defend ourselves with pitchforks and Molotov Cocktails?

I’ll tell you why: nobody inside the Westminster Swamp wants to get into the meejah for being a ‘Putin lover’! They prefer to be ‘Mr ‘e lovers’. Instead, our Westminster MSM, even while ridiculing the PM about another gaffe – haven’t they noticed that he thrives on making gaffes? – they omit criticising him for handing out our money like confetti.

The DT has a puff piece about Johnson’s performance for the Ukrainian Parliament – by Zoom, in case you wondered. Allegedly, Johnson ‘promised’ them that:

“We will make Ukraine so strong that no country will attack it again – Prime MInister tells MPs in Kyiv ‘Ukraine will win’ as he becomes first world leader to address its parliament since Russian invasion” (paywalled link)

What about making us strong here in Blighty? Is that too nationalistic? Is nationalism only acceptable when it’s displayed far away, somewhere in Central Europe, and only by those designated as ‘worthy’ by Western leaders? Obviously, Russia’s ‘nationalism’, usually called patriotism, is unworthy. Obviously, Russia can and must be accused of everything, never mind that these accusations spring from the feverish minds of “fans of Mr ‘e”, like an article in The Times which looks like a sick Ukrainian fantasy tale:

“The Kremlin could put hundreds of Ukrainian prisoners of war on display during a military parade, according to a think tank. The Centre for Defence Strategies, which is based in Ukraine, warned that 500 captured fighters could be “forced to go through Red Square for cameras”. It did not provide further details.” (link, paywalled)

Perhaps this is what the Ukrainians would do, were they in that situation? This report is right next to one about ‘Russian torturers’, told to some Times ‘reporter’ by a Ukrainian (link, paywalled). This ‘story’ is so ludicrous that it’s not worthwhile reading. The very first comment I came across asks “Has all this been verified”?

Clearly, none of our MSM hacks need to verify anything coming from any Ukrainian ‘source’. Just writing that they couldn’t independently verify those tales is sufficient. All these reports are fuel for the ongoing propaganda effort to keep the Ukrainian war going at all costs, costs which we are going to have to bear.

The similarities to the war in Afghanistan are there for all to see: after our troops withdrew, having left over 400 dead in Helmand, we pay ‘support for the young Afghani men who piled into our country as refugees who didn’t want to fight for their country while our soldiers died in their country, for them.

The same is happening in the Ukraine: we pay for ‘that’ war while young Ukrainian men whose families had enough money to pay the bribes at the borders – a cool $10,000 according to some reports – have left the country, leaving the old and poor to fight. Of course, we’ll also pay for their ‘support’ here!

It’s wonderful, isn’t it, how this is not an issue worth writing about as far as our MSM are concerned. Windfall taxes for BP: wonderful! Local taxes to house ‘refugees’ of all proveniences: not worthy a single paragraph, not even on the eve of local elections. No one on the Westminster swamp is bothered by those thousands of refugees, a.ka. dinghy drivers, which have flooded our country last year and which are still coming en masse in addition to any Ukrainians who’ve made it to these shores.

They are all safely stashed away in hotels dotted across the country and nobody needs to worry except the local plebs. It’s not a subject for those local elections because mentioning this issue would be racist. Not even the rising inflation is worthy of debate, not locally, not nationally. Apparently it’s fine that most of ‘Teh Poor’ in the UK can be told to wear another jumper and not eat so much while their taxes are being used to keep ‘refugees’ in the hotel accommodations they’ve now become accustomed to.

I leave you with the ‘news’, again splashed about in our valiant MSM, that President Putin ‘has cancer’, or Parkinson, or dementia or everything together. According to these repeated stories, he should’ve been dead months ago. However, yesterday this same President Putin had a long phone talk with the re-elected French president, yon Emmanuel Macron (link). Apparently, M Macron was happy to talk – here’s the report in TASS. One might wonder if this is all those two talked about. Did Macron try to negotiate the fate of those French military, allegedly bunkered up with the Azov neonazis at that steel plant in Mariupol?

Here in the UK nobody cares about that – we have a PM who is clearly addicted to performing before an adoring public, such as that Ukrainian parliament. Johnson ought to’ve become an actor rather than PM. He loves dressing up, he craves applause and as long as some of us peasants would rather clap for him than ask what he’s actually doing for us, he’ll stay in this, the greatest job an actor could possibly want.

Will he get his come-uppance tomorrow? Will his Tory colleagues finally stick their knives in his back? We’ll see once the results are in on Friday morning.
