A secret image of anonymous ‘sources’ …

 

Our esteemed fearmongers haven’t quite decided yet about what we must be scared of this week. Some papers headlined the ‘petrol bomb attack on a migrant centre’, others go with speculation that Sunak may still go to yon COP27 jamboree in Egypt because Johnson allegedly decided he’ll go. Here’s the compilation of this morning’s print editions.

I wonder what goes on in the minds of MSM editors who treat this event as a sort of one-upmanship, or as something they have the power to coerce the PM to attend because ‘it’s important’. And then they can wail about a u-turning PM. 

Apparently they still believe that pursuing Johnson’s fatal Net Zero policy is more important than trying to get to grips with the economy, an economy damaged not least by yon Net Zero policies. And it’s just such a juicy occasion to stir up more of yon brown stuff.! Just look at this quote from the report in The Times:

“Rishi Sunak is reconsidering his decision to miss the Cop27 climate conference after Boris Johnson indicated he could attend in person and King Charles announced a reception for environmentalists at Buckingham Palace. […] Sunak is said to be supportive of the former prime minister’s plans to go ahead with his own trip as part of Britain’s diplomatic effort to limit the rise in global temperatures to 1.5C despite alarm in Downing Street at a rival British presence on the world stage. “Boris is a former prime minister and Rishi is supportive of anyone who wants to make the case for tackling climate change,” a No 10 source said.” (link, paywalled)

You have to applaud the reporters for getting in that 1.5C ‘rise in global temperatures’! It’s now in The Times, so it must be a true fact. Still, there’s a nod to Sunak trying to deal with the economy, with a backhanded ‘compliment’:

“Sunak is still prioritising his preparations for the autumn statement on November 17 after citing the need to tackle the domestic economic crisis for his decision to remain in the UK. But there is an outside chance that the prime minister will make a fleeting appearance at the talks in Egypt if progress is made on key tax and spend decisions, The Times understands. President Biden and President Macron are among the leaders who are expected to attend the conference, which opens in Sharm-el-Sheikh on Sunday.” (link, paywalled)

Sunak must be some sort of slouch, ‘still prioritising’ yon statement! Hasn’t he got his Chancellor to do this for him? BJ didn’t need to ‘prioritise’ anything except his PR photo ops! Oh – and of course Sunak must go because Biden and Macron ‘are expected’ … Puerile is too kind description for The Times editors, bent on forcing the PM to dance to their music.

Then there’s our Sacred Cow. The Mirror’s front page screams that the NHS is facing its worst winter ‘on record’, with a ‘twindemic’ of flu and covid. Go here for the Mirror’s ‘exclusive’ NHS report. Never mind that it’s not winter yet and never mind that the autumn so far has been amazingly mild … But this outcry is necessary because NHS workers are being balloted for strike action. Moreover, a ‘third of public sector workers [are] ready to resign’ shouts The Times:

“One in three key workers are on the brink of quitting their jobs in a “mass exodus” that would cause public services to crumble, unions have warned. The Trades Union Congress said about 1.8 million public sector workers such as police officers, teachers, nurses and care staff have already taken steps to leave their profession or are actively considering it.They warned this would exacerbate huge vacancy rates and add to the strain on the public sector, including in the NHS, where there are 132,000 job vacancies.” (link, paywalled)

Unsurprisingly, these numbers come from a YouGov poll ‘for the trade unions’. Unsurprisingly, it’s all about ‘low pay’ and about ‘not being valued’. Is this a hint that working conditions might not be ideal? For example, all that box-ticking and paperwork needed to keep the backroom staff, i.e. management and admin, happy? They don’t seem to suffer from low pay. 

One wonders if yon reporters would rather the economy go down the drain because Sunak must attend COP27 rather than ‘prioritise’ the economy, pay rises for NHS staff included. Here’s another indication that the establishment is secretly happy for the Net Zero acolytes and their shock troops, glueing themselves onto roads and art works. Al Beeb reported yesterday that 

“The Met has urged the public not to “directly intervene” with Just Stop Oil demonstrators. Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist said people should “call us, and we will deal” with the climate change group. He spoke after angry motorists removed demonstrators from blocked roads in central London on Saturday.” (link)

Strange, isn’t it, that the Trade Unions and NHS workers are unconcerned about being prevented to get to work, never mind ambulances not being able to get to hospitals in time. It seems they’d rather strike for more pay while Sunak is made to go to COP27 and spend more of our money – money which the kind BoE will print. 

Perhaps that’s why the Westminster MSM haven’t accused Ms Braverman of not controlling the Police, ordering them to deal with yon street-gluers. The Police Forces come under the Home Office, after all, but if Net Zero is the main goal then the police must of course not be given ‘guidance’ to stop their softly-softly approach in regard to all those climate change fanatics! ‘Migrants’ are much better to beat her up with. 

The DM has two articles this morning, supporting my thesis that the campaign against Ms Braverman is being manufactured. There’s the report that Michael Gove told yesterday’s BBC Sunday talking shop that “Michael Gove fears Suella Braverman is coming under fire because of her push to reform the Home Office ” (link). That looks like a repeat of the early days of Ms Patel’s Home Office ‘saga’. The DM Comment goes a step further:

“There is rich irony in the fact that Home Secretary Suella Braverman stands accused by the Whitehall Blob and others of being a serial leaker of sensitive information. For if the broadcast media and Sunday papers are to be believed, Home Officeofficials, advisers, researchers and sundry other foes have been queuing up to leak confidential material about her. And what a vicious lot they are. Less than a week since she was restored to the job by Rishi Sunak, these malign voices – most of them courageously anonymous of course – are trying to get her out.” (link)

Well I nevah! Pointing out that Whitehall leakers leak in order to get rid of someone aiming to change their cushy working practices? Whatever next! Perhaps they better all quit their jobs, like other ‘public sector workers’ are said to think about? 

I leave you with a sad little report which shows that academic ‘cancel culture’ is  indeed destroying our universities. It’s now come to this:

“Students at the University of Cambridge will be given free-speech training in an effort to tackle so-called “cancel culture” against guest speakers. The sessions by two academics will aim to teach undergraduates to tolerate views that they disagree with and could be rolled out to more universities if successful.” (link, paywalled)

I think that professors, tutors and certain vice chancellors ought to attend such training as a matter of priority. It would also be helpful if chief editors in the MSM were made to attend. After all, their pernicious ‘cancel culture’ during the covid years and in regard to ‘climate change’ meant that ‘sources’ can spew poison while other voices were and are being silenced. 

And so, as we glide from Autumn towards Winter, let’s keep watch on how we’re being manipulated by the Westminster Cabal, aiming to make the PM dance to their Net Zero tunes, to please ‘the PM over the waters’ whom they’d love to see back in No 10, wifey included. Have a good day …
